Today, January 13th, the United States celebrates Korean-American Day. To learn more about the Korean immigrant population in the United States, please click here to access an article from the Migration Policy Institute. The U.S. Congress first declared January 13th to be in honor of Korean-Americans in 2003, the 100th anniversary of the arrival of 102 Korean pioneer immigrants in Hawaii, who had come to work in the sugar cane fields.
